Carla’s Correspondence : Issue 26 : Spring Into Action

posted in: Uncategorized | 1

Hey everyone! Now that Valentine’s Day is over and we have begun the transition from winter to spring, I want to start spring cleaning your career. I don’t think that we should wait until March to get started when we can be ahead of the pack. I am all about seizing opportunities. Since most people haven’t blown off the dust on their resumes, now is the opportune time to start doing it. Whether or not, I work in corporate America or as an entrepreneur, I always keep an eye on the college career fair clock. That’s when all of the job outlook and trend analyses come out. The spring college career fairs are just starting to trickling in because it is February. This means that you can still fly under the radar with very little competition. Last week I changed my LinkedIn profile adding problem solver because that’s what I do. I have always been solving problems but I have never stated this on my LinkedIn profile. Now I am being more intentional in not just my profile but in my words and actions. You can read more about my LinkedIn update here.

Thank you for participating in the polls. As requested, you wanted more professional resources so I am giving you just that. In the spirit of spring cleaning and blowing the dust off of your resume, here’s the Muse article telling you how to spring clean your resume in LESS than 2 hours.
