Hey everybody! This has been a whirlwind week. I have finalized my ITIL Service Operations training, written a 45 days left in 2019 newsletter (you can subscribe here to Carla’s Corner to receive it! www.bit.ly/carlascorner ) and getting as much information as possible about these two new ITIL 4 exams. Anyway, I will say that I am making progress and very happy that the right people are watching my YouTube channel www.carlarjenkins.com/youtubechannel which is the title of this week in review.
ITIL 3 Training and 2 New ITIL 4 Certifications Exam
I have finalized my travel arrangements to return to DC (Herndon, VA) and teach ITIL Service Operations. I am very happy to help others pass their ITIL certifications because I have gotten a lot of mileage out of mine.
Moreover, I am collecting all of the information as possible on the two new ITIL 4 certifications. These are the first 2 of 4 ITIL Managing Professional certifications. I am already ITIL 4 Foundation certified so there is no barrier in taking them.
Since I already have the AWS Cloud Certification exam outstanding and AXELOS, the ITIL test administrator, doesn’t have the ITIL Managing Professional hardcopy books until January 2020, these two exams can wait until then. The great part about being ITIL 4 Foundation certified is that I am ahead of the curve and passing these two new ITIL 4 exams in January or February 2020 still put me out front of everybody else.

Thanking People Who Have Helped Me This Week
This I have thanked Asya Watkins, Women of Project Management founder, and Titu, a Certified Scrum Master for helping me get clear professionally . Asya has helped me understand that I need to close the sale in my videos and keep doing what I am doing to land more PMP and ITIL teaching opportunities.
Now to the meat! I have had a business call about rescheduling my project management webinar and the man says that he watches my video. I have learned that although project management is niche (it is under business which is a larger genre on YouTube), the people who are cutting the check are watching my videos. I will admit that sometimes it gets discouraging that I am not getting hundreds of video views but, hey, if the people who are paying me are watching, that is all that matters!

Back In The Swing Of Things with AWS
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been put on the back burner because of all of the ITIL and PMP teaching opportunities. Now that these have been finalized and the lesson plans are done, I am back towards passing the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam. I have also purchased the Job Bonso from Tutorial Dojo AWS Cloud Practitioner practice exam through the Pre-Black-Friday promo code on Udemy for $9.99.
Another thing that I am open to is the possibility of paying for the certification exam fees myself. If you have been following my story, you would know that I have gone through the Ohio Means Jobs AWS workforce development program. In order to get the exam voucher, I would have to score 90% on the practice tests. The AWS passing threshold is 70%. I am okay with the possibility of paying for my own exam fees rather than the possibility of continually retaking the practice exams to score 90%.
