This is a new video series, Adventures in Workforce Development, where I chronicle my experience going through the agency. In this inaugural episode I discuss the difference between an employment specialist, recruiter and talent developer.
I am new to this workforce development. The employment specialist will help me with the basics like resume, bus tickets and training vouchers. The recruiters (which sometimes double as a business development specialists) build relationships with the businesses and land the jobs. The business development specialists meet with the businesses creating the job orders that are then posted in the system’s website. The talent developer is for high-skilled talent. It is more exclusive.
