I Passed My SC-900 Exam!

It’s official: I have passed my SC-900 Microsoft Security Fundamentals beta exam! I have received my results today via email! Also it is huge personal achievement for me because this is my first beta exam and I have passed it.

This has been a long time coming because I took the exam March 25, 2021 (You can check out my 2 Key Takeaways From My SC-900 Beta Exam blog post here).

In addition to the resources I have provided in my blog post, I would also recommend 2 more:

Microsoft Learn SC-400 Information Protection Administrator Learning Path

John Savill’s AZ-500/ SC-300 Privilege Identity Management YouTube video

Furthermore, if you’re coming from an Azure background, learn Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Endpoint, Microsoft Security, a deeper Azure Sentinel knowledge and Azure AD Domain Services for hybrid and on-premise environment.

What’s next?

I have also had my eye on passing the SC-300 Identity and Access Management (IAM) Administrator exam since I know both Azure and AWS. However, having studied for AZ-500, the SC-200 Security Operations Analyst certification, has some overlap especially with Azure Sentinel. I may add SC-200 to the list. Besides I also am in Washington, DC which is the nation’s capital and has a huge demand for security operation positions.
