May 2022 Certification List Update

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Here I am back with my monthly wrap-up. I have taken 2 certification exams this month. I also have my Solutions Architect Professional certification exam scheduled for May 31, 2022 but I want this update to come out in May instead of June (I am taking my SAP Tuesday night which will roll into June.).

May 4, 2022 I sat for the SC-100 cybersecurity architect beta exam. I felt that it was a combo of SC-200 security operations analyst and SC-300 IAM administrator. There was a lot of Microsoft Defender for Cloud questions on there. I did think that I fared better on SC-100 than AZ-305. I prayed that I’d received my score (and passage) 1 month from now.

May 23, 2022 I passed my MS-900 MS 365 fundamentals. Now I has the Learn to Cloud free exam voucher and took this exam because an educational technology company sent out an email saying that it was hiring MS365 Expert Moderator chat positions but you needed either MS-900 or MS-500. I studied and passed my MS-900 in 3 days (You can read all about it here! ). Earning this certification was unexpected but I was happy that my LnkedIn Family loved it went I posted my Credly badge!

Free Exam Vouchers

I received my AWS Solutions Architect Associate free exam voucher from AWS She Builds after scoring over 80% on the Jon Bonso practice exam. I expected to sit for this exam but then saw that my Solutions Architect Professional exam voucher would expire on May 31, 2022 so I booked that. Passing my SAP renewed my SAA so let’s go!

Thursday, May 26, 2022, the Azure Cloud Week for Partners emailed me my AZ-305 free exam voucher for completing all of the May 2022 coursework and virtual training. I will be using this to retake and pass my AZ-305. My goal is to get two Microsoft expert certifications

Also I completed the MS Build’s Microsoft Security Cloud Skills Challenge. I received my badge and will receive my free exam voucher June 30, 2022. I am thinking about using it to pass my PL-300 certification. The PL-300 replaced the DA-100 so since it was data related I would give it a try.

Going Forward

I hope that I receive my SC-100 results in June. I do feel that I am going to pass. If I do then I may not sit for the SC-300 because SC-300 is one of the 4 exams (SC-200,S C-300, AZ-500, MS-500) that feeds into SC-100. I do see myself passing my AZ-305 retake in June too.

Starting in June I think my focus will be on CISSP. Yes, I know that there will be 200 questions but I had to clear out some of the cloud certification backlog. However, I have promised myself to get that CISSP in 2022 so I will start studying for it.
