AKA Why I’m Dropping AZ-500, SC-300 And SC-400
I passed my SC-100 cybersecurity architect exam Friday night. This changed a whole lot of my original 2022 certification list.
Dropping SC-300 And SC-400 (And AZ-500)
Since the SC-100 means that I am now the certified cybersecurity architect expert, I am dropping the AZ-500 Azure Security Engineer, SC-300 IAM Administrator and SC-400 Information Protection Administrator because they were associate exams. Now I am focusing on using my Microsoft Cloud Skills Challenge exam voucher to pass my PL-300 Data Analyst exam and the AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications.
Right now in July 9, 2022, I have passed the:
- Facebook Digital Marketing Associate
- SC-200 Security Operations Analyst
- MS-900 Microsoft Security Fundamentals
- SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect Expert
I Don’t Know About GCP
Storytime – If you’ve been reading my latest Google Cloud Jumpstart blog series, you would know that I have had a GCP Product Manager phone interview. That brain teaser was crazy. I did not get the job; but, in between that weird brain teaser and the HR telling me a weird ‘cool down’ period comment, I don’t know about pursuing GCP certs. Yes, GCP is the number 3 US public cloud provider; but, it is also about return on investment.
With the removal of SC-300, SC-400 and two GCP certifications off of the list, these are the ones left:
Certifications
- CISSP
- Oracle Cloud Autonomous Database Specialist
- AWS Machine Learning Specialty
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- Terraform Associate
I have added my PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst, AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and AWS Solutions Architect Associate renewal to the list. I am in the AWS She Builds CloudUp Solutions Architect Associate cohort.
