FYI – I have missed 3 sessions (May 13, 2022, May 20, 2022 and May 27, 2022) due to interviews (which is a good thing. This means that being in GCP Jumpstart has put me on the radar!). However, I am back!
And not only am I BACK but I’ve received my LinkedIn request from one of the GCP Jumpstart staff. I am back in a major way.
I am happy that this week is a 2-for-1. First there is the SADA incubator. I did not know what SADA was until this session. This is a great reason to apply for GCP Jumpstart because now you’re learning all of the different areas of Google Cloud. Furthermore, you get to network with the SADA staff and apply for opportunities.
The second session is technical account manager (TAM). Personally, I like this TAM role because I am a techie and this may be right up your alley. It has been extremely informative. I will give Google that. I have learned a whole lot more about the different cloud occupations from GCP Jumpstart than any other program because Google is presenting it in a granular way.
I will also say that my knowing about TAM and having interviewed for it, I am able to ask better questions. GCP is moving towards having TAM as a dedicated resource for 1 company. This is an important development because if you’re interested in working in the tech industry, you must keep abreast of the latest developments. Going from 1 to many (servicing multiple companies) to 1 to 1 is a big shift.
The final GCP Jumpstart career session will be next week Friday, June 10, 2022. It’ll be another two hours but at least it is time well-spent.
